They are joyful Chinese-Irish cross overs!

Wow how awesome, Michael! I love to hear from longtime readers who come out of the woodworks when we visit close to home :) The Cantonese really emigrated far and wide! No surprise there, and yes, it’s so exciting to see food from other provinces becoming more familiar and as loved as Cantonese food is! Cheers :)

Hi Mark, does look similar, yes! Though without the addition of barley. I’m sure there are some other nuances but that’s another great reference point for anyone looking to make it at home!

Have read your blog for years and cooked many dishes. Happy to see you made it to Ireland! I’ve visited Killarney with family many times and my brother got married there.

There’s always been a lot of Cantonese food in Dublin (some of it really good) but I think, like other European cities, more and more regional Chinese food is available all the time. Though there is a great food scene generally in Ireland with so much great produce.

Wowwww!!!!! I’m so happy to hear! That is absolutely amazing! I’m smiling ear to ear reading your comment. Sounds like it will be an incredible trip! The fact that you’re going close to Christmas will more than make up for the cold weather (and water!!!!), I’m sure. Wishing you good travel luck and I hope you have a fantastic time! <3

I will be driving in December when we go, so I will borrow that and than your cousin for me. I drove a mail truck (sitting on the right side but driving on the right, in the US) and picked that up quickly and I hold a commercial license in the US, having driven fire engines and other large vehicles. I just hope I don’t go on “autopilot” getting lost in the lush views. We are purchasing good driving insurance for a reason, LOL
